She joined Day Translations in 2019 as a Bid Writer and then moved into a Project Manager role. As the Translations Department Manager, she now leads the PM team to deliver excellence to clients.

From her early career in international development, to proposal writing and program evaluation, Flavia has embraced working across time zones and cultures. She currently lives in Costa Rica with her husband and two daughters.

Alican is a multilingual project manager, editor, and writer based in Turkey, with a background in literature, journalism, and international language services. With academic training in French literature and previous experience working as an editor and journalist in Istanbul, he brings a strong command of language together with a highly organized, detail-oriented approach to communication and project coordination.

With around eight years of experience in project management — including four years in the translation industry — Matias has developed a strong appreciation for the role language plays in people's lives. He understands how important it is for clients to communicate clearly and confidently when documents, opportunities, legal matters, education, healthcare, or personal milestones depend on being understood in another language.

Before entering the translation field, Matias built his career in customer service and client-facing roles, where he learned to value patience, empathy, and persistence. He sees each project not only as a task to complete, but as an opportunity to support someone through a process that may be important, urgent, or stressful for them.

Fernanda is a Translation Project Manager with experience in managing multilingual projects, specializing in legal translation and professional communication services. I am Laura Durán, an Interpreting Team Leader at Day Translations with experience in project management, client relations, and operational leadership within the language services industry. I currently lead a distributed team of interpreting project managers, ensuring consistent service delivery, balanced workloads, and efficient coordination across multiple countries.

In my role, I oversee end-to-end interpretation project execution, including client communication, scheduling, interpreter coordination, budgeting, and quality assurance. I also serve as an escalation point for complex or high-priority projects, where I focus on resolving issues quickly to maintain service continuity and client satisfaction.

A key part of my work involves collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and leadership teams to optimize workflows, align resources, and support client needs. Fábio Matias is a translator and interpreter graduated from Universidade São Judas Tadeu in São Paulo, Brazil. Active in the Translation, Localization, and Interpretation industry since 2017, he began his career as a reviewer before transitioning into project management within his first year in the field. Since then, his professional path has been strongly connected to multilingual project coordination, vendor management, and translation technology.

In addition to managing translation and localization workflows, Fábio dedicated a significant part of his early career to translation technology and linguist training. His experience includes training translators and project managers in the use of CAT tools and translation productivity software, particularly solutions from the RWS ecosystem such as Trados Studio and Trados GroupShare. This combination of operational and technical expertise became one of the defining aspects of his career.

From 2020 to 2025, Fábio worked extensively with multilingual translation and interpretation projects involving vendors and clients across multiple continents and time zones. During this period, he also became increasingly involved in interpretation project management. In 2025, he joined Day Translations as an Interpreting Project Manager, focusing exclusively on the interpretation industry and expanding his expertise in remote and on-site interpreting operations.

I am Antonella, a Spanish ⇄ English translator who graduated from the National University of Córdoba. Before graduating, I worked as an English teacher for professionals who needed help launching their careers outside of their country; after two years, I got promoted to Academic Coordinator. This position not only strengthened my leadership, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills but also made me realize what I wanted to do with my professional life.

After that experience and later graduating, I started working as a translation project coordinator. This job further improved my organizational skills, stakeholder communication, and operational oversight, allowing me to successfully manage projects from initial planning through final delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

I have also worked as an over-the-phone medical interpreter, helping patients and medical teams focus on the situation and not worry about the language barriers. Interpreting made me value even more the work that interpreters do and the support they provide by doing a good job. That was the moment I decided my future was in interpretation as an interpreting project manager. I want to make sure that interpreters feel taken care of and valued for what they do — the same way they make the clients feel when they do a good job.

Rocío de León is a language services professional with a strong background in interpretation, translation, transcription, and client relations, bringing extensive experience across the language and customer support industries. Steven Cartwright is an Account Executive and QA Manager with a career built on client relationships, operational excellence, and a passion for getting things right. Originally from New Zealand, Steven brought a strong foundation in operations management and logistics before making Brazil his home, where he has since grown into roles spanning project management, translation, supervision, and quality assurance.
